WaHoo! Innovation Boot Camp, 2016 - Magic School Bus Edition was a Blast!

It's not about the technology... but about the learning and teaching....
I love planning our Innovation Boot Camp at the Friday Institute. Together with my amazing colleagues, for the last seven years, have been creating  an experience where we encourage participants to build their capacity around digitally enhanced curriculum and instruction through a rigorous and empowering full day of learning, growing, and reflecting.

This year we hosted over 130 participants and facilitators from across North Carolina, all of whom broke ​down the barriers and encouraged each other to "TAKE CHANCES, MAKE MISTAKES & GET MESSY" with our 'Magic School Bus' theme.

There is something about educators in collaboration, synthesizing and sharing: there is no better professional learning combination. And this year's keynote speaker, Dr, Steven Weber, recently of Chapel Hill Schools, was amazing. Kudos to the team this year for another amazing event... next up - Coaching Digital Learning Institute in October.
